The gua sha tool is a part of my clean start and my morning routine.
Some call it a natural facelift, I call it amazing.
I've never had botox, fillers, or any invasive treatments, and I use our healthy, plant-based skincare products and this wonderful little facial massage tool called gua sha, pronounced 'gwa-shaa.' My 'level 57' skin never felt so good!
Truth be told, when I first started using a gua sha facial tool, I didn't know what I was doing. I wasn't sure how to hold it, how much pressure to use, and what direction to go with it.
I also didn't like the fact that when I used it on my cheeks it sounded like crinkly, crunchy paper under my skin. Whaaaat? 🙄❓❓❓
My on-and-off years of Rosacea, acne, inflammation and sensitivity was still lurking somewhere under the skin. That's what was making those sounds when I used the gua sha on those areas of my face. After using the tool regularly, the crunchy sound under my skin went away and my skin felt and looked smoother. Happiness!
So needless to say, I'm a big fan of doing gua sha in the morning. 😊

👉 Using the gua sha tool with your cleansing oil is wonderful because it's also a way of 'cleansing' and detoxifying the skin. You can also use it with your toner and a serum. Do what feels best to you, and remember that the key is to make sure that the skin is slippery to allow the tool to glide and do its job.
