By adding a little or a lot of exfoliant to your cleansing oil, you control the level of daily exfoliation that best benefits your skin. You can also make a paste by mixing the exfoliant with water. This herbal and mineral exfoliant combines the best of nature for toned and soothed skin. A dash of fine Himalayan pink salt powder aids in healing skin irritations naturally nourishes and replenishes minerals to your skin, and is one of the purest, hand-mined salts from the ancient seas. After skin is cleansed, add a small amount of exfoliant to the palm of your hand, or mask bowl, then add a small amount of water, or add cleansing oil as an option. Gently massage it in small circles on all areas of face, neck, and chest. Be gentle - let the herbs do the work for you.
You can rinse it away, or as a special treat, follow with warm washcloth steam. Moisten a washcloth with warm water and press on to your skin, allowing your pores to open and absorb the benefits of the antioxidants and natural botanicals in the clay exfoliant. Relax, take a deep breath, and repeat. No need to scrub - just gently wipe away.
You can let it dry on the skin for a moment, or rinse it away immediately. Feel free to let it sit on your skin before removing, allowing a few minutes to pass and the botanicals to benefit your skin.
It’s a wonderful way to finish the day. You can exfoliate lightly on a daily basis, no more than once a day. If open areas are visible on the skin, be extra gentle, or avoid the area until healed.

Another option and way we love it... some love to add this to their cleansing oil to boost their cleanse with the antioxidants once or twice a week.
Q. I see you have two different kinds of exfoliants - one with clay and one with minerals. Do I need to use both?
A. No, you don't. We've given you and your skin options for changes in your skin condition. The herbal exfoliants include healing minerals and herbs to help with surface inflammation, activity, and upset while boosting moisture and softness. The clay exfoliants literally absorb toxins and impurities from the skin's surface for more of a deep down exfoliation and clean, in addition to softening and smoothing with the herbs. Some prefer to alternate treatments for wonderfully smooth skin.
Q. Can I use water instead of cleansing oil when I use my exfoliant?
A. Yes ~ you can use water or your cleansing oil to activate your exfoliant. It's a dry formula, so activating it with either water or your cleansing oil will wake it up and get it ready for you to use.
Q. Can I mix my exfoliator with my cleanser as the first step?
A. To get the deep down cleansing benefits from the cleansing oil, we recommend that you first massage your skin with your cleansing oil. You can either remove your cleanser, or keep it on the complexion before removing with the wet washcloth. We love to add the exfoliant after we've cleansed our skin to get the most from it. :)
