It’s Thyme for Beautiful Skin
…thyme! An ancient herb with uses in cooking, floral arranging, and in gardens sprinkled between pavers is so welcoming with its delicate flowers and fresh aroma, we're delighted to have it as one of our favorite herbs in our hand-crafted formulations. This aromatic herb is an organic and effective beauty treatment. Filled with beneficial vitamins and minerals – Vitamins A, B-complex, C, E, K, and beta-carotene – it's a welcome in both the spice drawer and in the medicine cabinet.
The study of thyme and its variety of health and skin benefits has been making its way through the medical community. It has been tested and is shown to be effective at combating this four letter word – acne. Many are familiar with benzoyl peroxide to treat a spot or irritation. Thyme is gentler on skin than these and other types of acne-zapping products because of the anti-inflammatory components and natural complexion of the herb itself. Using traditional lotions and creams with benzoyl peroxide or alcohol can dry the complexion, which can alert the skin to produce more oil leading again to more oil production, clogging, and a never-ending circle. We blend the organic thyme herb and use its oil, together with sea buckthorn berry, chamomile, and other skin loving botanical oils. Our proprietary blend becomes effective at fighting the bacterium that causes acne, as well as keeping the skin soft and treating the area to help prevent the nuisance from coming back for a visit.
We believe in utilizing natural and effective treatments. We avoid extracts and alcohol, as they are often too harsh for sensitive skin.
