Qēt Botanicals

Hydrating Clay Exfoliant with Tea & Lavender

$32

Green tea, lavender, and Rhassoul clay work deeply to absorb impurities and smooth skin. Softens and soothes troubled areas and helps skin turn over a fresh glow. You control your level of exfoliation for smoother skin.

Our Hydrating line is for comfortable and combination skin with occasional breakouts.

Gently exfoliating skin is just as important as a good cleanse. We have two exfoliating options in each Skin Suite. This exfoliating option suits skin that will benefit from a deeply-absorbing exfoliation. For a lighter, softening exfoliation, one of our herbal exfoliants is the right choice. You can rotate exfoliants as needed. This exfoliant was chosen as the favorite facial exfoliant by a beauty editor and author for its natural abilities and elements.

This botanical exfoliant is formulated to hydrate skin that is experiencing one or more of these conditions: oily and dry areas / comfortable with occasional activity or blemishes / comfortable to dry in need of adequate hydration without irritation.

New to this treatment or new to our Skin Suites? We have the option of starting with a Getting Started Facial Kit for $39. The trial and travel sizes in our kits can help you discover a small amount at a time. You can mix and match from our Skin Suites to find the perfect Qēt Botanicals suite for your skin condition. Our kits are also great travel companions and can be refilled for on-the-go-freshness.

By adding a little or a lot of exfoliant to your cleansing oil, you control the level of daily exfoliation that best benefits your skin. You can also make a paste with just your tap water. This unique clay blend provides an absorbing exfoliation, deep cleaning, and a boost of aromatherapy - benefits which help to remove dull skin and impurities from your skin. The finest Rhassoul clay pampers your skin with magnesium, iron, potassium, and other nutrients making it smooth and hydrated.

The first ingredient in this exfoliant is colloidal oat. It has natural moisturizing and healing benefits for every condition of the skin. Acting like a sponge, the clay literally drinks the toxins and impurities from the skin. Our Rhassoul clay, unearthed from the fertile Atlas Mountains of Morocco, is completely natural, unscented, clean, and has been third party tested and is found safe and free of excessive heavy metals.

An extra amount of lavender is added which is a soothing skin remedy for all types, relieves any irritation, as well as provides a disinfecting touch. We use Matcha green tea in our face and body products because of the high level of naturally occurring antioxidants. Organic raw cane sugar, a natural alpha hydroxy acid, helps to balance uneven skin tone and keep skin clear. No added fragrances or fillers. Your nose will only pick up on the natural botanicals in this blend.

All of the hand-selected botanicals are finely put together to become an exfoliant which is anti-inflammatory, fights sun damage, is detoxifying, and has soothing components for the skin. It is important to lightly exfoliate the skin on a daily basis, between cleansing and protecting it. Removing the dull skin and making way for fresh skin is a healthy way to keep your skin looking renewed and preparing it for nourishment.

After using the cleansing oil, add a small amount of exfoliant to the palm of your hand, or mask bowl, then add a small amount of water or cleansing oil. Gently massage it in small circles on all areas of face, neck, and chest. Be gentle - let the herbs do the work for you.

Follow with a warm washcloth steam. Moisten washcloth with warm water and press on to your skin, allowing your pores to open and absorb the benefits of the antioxidants and natural botanicals in the clay exfoliant. Relax, take a deep breath, and repeat. No need to scrub - just gently wipe away.

You can let it dry on the skin for a moment, or rinse away immediately. Feel free to let it sit on your skin before steaming, allowing a few minutes to pass and the botanicals to benefit your skin.

It’s a wonderful way to finish the day. You can exfoliate lightly on a daily basis, no more than once a day. If open areas are visible on the skin, be extra gentle, or avoid the area until healed.

Q.  I see you have two different kinds of exfoliants - one with clay and one with minerals.  Do I need to use both?

A.  No, you don't.  We've given you and your skin options for changes in your skin condition. The herbal exfoliants include healing minerals and herbs to help with surface inflammation, activity, and upset while boosting moisture and softness. The clay exfoliants literally absorb toxins and impurities from the skin's surface for more of a deep down exfoliation and clean, in addition to softening and smoothing with the herbs. Some prefer to alternate treatments for wonderfully smooth skin.

Q.  Can I use water instead of cleansing oil when I use my exfoliant?

A.  Yes ~ you can use water or your cleansing oil to activate your exfoliant. It's a dry formula, so activating it with either water or your cleansing oil will wake it up and get it ready for you to use.

Q.  Can I mix my exfoliator with my cleanser as the first step?

A.  To get the deep down cleansing benefits from the cleansing oil, we recommend that you first massage your skin with your cleansing oil. You can either remove your cleanser, or keep it on the complexion before removing with the wet washcloth. We love to add the exfoliant after we've cleansed our skin to get the most from it. :)
